HANSEN posted by Annette Hansen Rockeman on Sunday, June 15, 1997

I am looking for my great-grandfather's family. Christian Nels HANSEN died in 1902 in Nobles county, MN. At least two of his sons moved to the Lake Benton area in Lincoln county, MN in 1900. I think they lived in Lake Benton township. Their names were: Jacob C. HANSEN and John C. HANSEN (my grandfather). Jacob lived there untill 1917, when he moved to Ryder, ND. I wonder if Christian had a brother named Anton HANSEN who supposedly still has family in the Lake Benton area. If you can help please reply to marockem@donnybrook.ndak.net

HANSEN posted by Annette (HANSEN) ROCKEMAN on Sunday, May 3, 1998

I have been told that my Grandfather, John C. HANSEN was the pitcher for a MN State Champion Baseball team. The team was based out of Lake Benton, MN. Can anyone help me find out if he was on the team - and if there are any photos I would love to get copies. John lived in the Lake Benton area between 1900-1916 so that is when he would have been on the team. Thank you for any help.

BRADLEY, MARTER, MEYER, VAN posted by Robert Forrest on Thursday, May 21, 1998

Looking for more information on g-grandfather George H.BRADLEY, or his wife Emma VAN MARTER. They were from NY and had 3 children: Daniel, Earl, and Ada Estelle; came to Diamond Lake about 1875 and farmed. George's brother William BRADLEY had an adjoining farm. In 1883 George bought another parcel of land. By 1894 they had had moved to MO. Earl may have died of TB. Daniel may have married with no children. Ada married Albert MEYER about 1897. Brother William apparently stayed in Diamond Lake, farmed, and remained a bachelor. Where did George and Emma go? Are there Lincoln County newspaper files that may help?
