Her name was Alta Luella HERRICK b. 1884 in Lincoln Co. She married Leslie Vernon COCHRANE on 29 Oct 1902 in Gary, South Dakota and they lived in that area the rest of their lives. Are there any other people looking for Herrick ancestors from Lincoln Co.?

COOTY posted by Bud Skroch on Saturday, November 20, 2010: For the last 30 I have be trying to find a brother to my grandfather. They were born in Clinton county Iowa, Frank Cooty in 1872 , Mary Cooty on 7 March 1873 and my grandfather, Albert Charles COOTY in September of 1876. Unfortunately their mother died in early 1877 and their father in may of 1878. The children were moved to live with aunts and uncle's. Frank disappeared in 1880 and we have been unable to find any trace of him until recently. We have found in the "Family Search" program a death notice for "Frank COOTY" on 7 September 1894 In Shelburne, Lyon, County, Minnesota. It shows him as born in 1872 , 22 years old, a white male, who worked as a welldigger, and his father a Nick Cooty. Oddly on the next page we find a notice for "Frank COOTY" on 15 September 1894, in Hope , Lincoln County , Minnesota. also shows him as born in 1872, 22 years old, a white male who worked as a welldigger. We hope you can help us find a burial place any other information that might be available regarding his death.

Elmer Berdt Olson married Anna EVANSON and they had the following children: Donald Lyle Olson and Loren Willard Olson. She was born either December 1940 or January 01, 1845 in Oslo, Norway, and died March 04, 1915 in Hendricks, Hendricks Township, Lincoln County, MN.

HAUGAARD, LANGE posted by Robert Anderson on Thursday, March 31, 2011: Looking for obit and/or any info on Margrethe "Margaret" (HAUGAARD) and Louis P. LANGE, my great-grand aunt and uncle. Article in Tyler Journal 18 Jul 1940 stated they lived in Lincoln County "since pioneer days" and lived on a farm in Lake Benton Twp. before moving to Tyler where they operated the old Commercial Hotel on Bradley for many years. Margaret was known as "Grandma Lange" in the area and died 15 May 1962 at the age of 99.

BETHKE, SORENSON posted by Mark D. Harris on Sunday, November 27, 2011: My GGF, Soren SORENSON, born in Denmark in about 1882, immigrated to America in 1891 and married (date unknown) Edith P. BETHKE, born in Minnesota in about 1889. They are listed in the 1910 census living in Arco, MN, and my Grandmother, Bergetta Francis Sorenson, was born to them in Arco on 11-5-1908. The family moved to Roseau, MN sometime after Bergetta was born, but Soren is believed to have died of pneumonia about 1919 or so while in Arco on a business trip. Any details would be appreciated. I am hoping to locate any Lincoln county relatives who might be willing to share SORENSON or BETHKE genealogical information
